Kai-yuh Hsiao

Kai-yuh Hsiao was a postdoc working on the MDS robot in 2007-2008. He holds an S.B., M.Eng, and Ph.D from MIT. His Ph.D thesis work in the Cognitive Machines Group at the Media Lab involved natural language for robots, semantically grounded in vision, manipulation, and haptic feedback. Prior to that, he did his Master’s degree work in the Responsive Environments Group at the Media Lab, building novel electronic sensors and incorporating them into interactive music installations.
