Jin Joo received her B.S/M.S in Electrical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She researched with Dr. Ayanna Howard in the HumAnS Lab creating robot adventure games to enhance understanding of computer science for middle school students. She also researched with Dr. Andrea Thomaz in the Socially Intelligent Machines Lab (SIM) to teach Simon, an upper torso humanoid robot, how to learn goal-oriented actions and sequential constraints in a Build-A-House task. She is currently working on a Masters in the School of Media Arts and Sciences. Her research interests are in robot task learning, robots and education, common sense and robots, and lifelong robot companions.
