Julián Hernández Muñoz

M.Eng in EECS

Julián holds a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from MIT, and is currently pursuing a Masters of Engineering degree with the Personal Robots Group at the MIT Media Lab. He began working with the Personal Robots Group as an undergraduate in 2008, researching human detection algorithms for the MDS robot platform. He is currently working on computer vision algorithms that use RGB-D images to detect human gestures. He is also focused on developing robot vision and image processing tools for the group’s software platform. Julián has worked at Oracle, IBM, France Telecom, and the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) at MIT.
